Since around
1995, use of the Internet has exploded and the dot.com craze is
now “getting down to business.” Currently there are in excess
of one billion people with access to the Internet.
Internet sales have continued to replace/supplant sales
through traditional sales channels, and major credit card
companies have predicted that over the next five years, E-commerce
will continue to have annual percentage growth in the double
digits. Businesses that ignore this reality could become
extinct, just like many downtown retailers who ignored the shift to
